Jiantao Hu, 26. MA, Game Design, Goldsmiths, University of London; BFA, Digital Art, School of the Art Institute of Chicago. ADC member. He is currently working as a game level artist at iDreamsky Technology, the sub company of Tencent Game, which based in Shenzhen, China. He was previously a lead game designer at MMARAP, a London based Development Team. He holds The Graduation Scholarship winner of Fine Arts School Affiliated to China Central Academy of Fine Arts. He has been awarded in many international professional competitions, such as Autodesk® International Design Competition, Hiii Illustration International Illustration Competition, Cornerstone Cup Competition in Chicago Youth International Arts Festival, etc. His works have been exhibited many times in different places, such as the National Art Museum of China, The Art Museum of China Central Academy of Fine Arts, Today Art Museum, Beijing; Nanjing Art Museum; Shenzhen Fine Art Institute, The Art Museum of Shenzhen University, China ICIF, Shenzhen; Art Institute of Chicago, Hi USA Chicago, Gallery of Columbia College Chicago; Limousine International Video Art Festival, New York; Venice Art House; Mykonos Multimedia Arts Festival, Greece; etc.
Interdisciplinary Art and Technology is the main direction of his creation. He have experiences on various forms of projects from 2D to 3D, from paper material to computer technologies. Painting and drawing used to be his primary artistic expression in his early days, and the Long story graphic novel Di Zhu Fei Ji was his work before the age of 15. The long-period professional art education makes him dabble in different mediums of artistic creation. It integrates various creative forms such as painting, animation, experimental art, video, and interactive games into his works. He ever worked with professor Fei Jun, Director of the New Media Lab of Central Academy of Fine Arts, participated in the design of many digital media art projects, including Lost in Play2. He was then invited to join the famous animation studio Shanshui Cartoon Original Co.LTD and became one of the leading designers for the Flying Little Hakka. The animation series has won numerous awards in China. Since September 2020, he started to focus on independent game creation. His masterpieces include the graphic novel Escape, narrative illustration and animation Story of Lungfish, and RPG game series Legend of Titans.
